Manggahan Festival in Guimaras

It has been my dream to go even for a half day experiencing and knowing what Manggahan Festival in Guimaras is all about. Yes it's true, in my whole life this is actually the first time. My friends and relatives always invited me to join them going here few years back, but I always said no.
Going here is not planned at all, it was just a quick "Ok let's go" while I was having coffee with my fellow blogger of Iloilo Today at Bo's Cafe inside SM City Iloilo. He said that we are just gonna go there and buy some sweet yellow mangoes. Since I wanted to so the talking is done.

As a first timer in this kind of festival, I insist myself to really enjoy everything, every moment that was happening and learn how to buy the good mangoes.

Along the Entrance this wonderful welcome post welcomed us showing the many mango fruit stands and other Guimaras products inside.

Before entering the gate, I was so excited from outside going in you can smell the fresh scent of all the mangoes.

Indeed Guimaras Manggahan Festival is a great feast a half day trip that I will always remember. One of my favorite part is buying a mango shake and two kilos of ripe yellow mangoes which I am going to make my mom a mango float that day because it was her birthday.

Amazing Boracay Island Philippines | My Boracay

| RECOMMEND FULL SCREEN with 320P Resolution |

Have you been to Boracay? Boracay is one of the famous tourist destination here in the Philippines for both Local and International, with its white sand beaches, wonderful and fine hotels and restaurants, night life and activities you'll do in Boracay such as para-sailing, banana boat ride, scuba diving, island hoping, cliff diving and more.

What is my first impression about Boracay?

Well, before I only think and browse information about Boracay Island on the internet knowing that there are a lot of celebrities going there and enjoy the beach. The white sands and cool blue color waters, concerts and many more. When I was a boy I always wanted to go to Boracay, but our family can't afford it. Well I have to do it on my own, now I am able. Therefor I want to share my story on my 1st and 2nd time around.

The first time I went to Boracay was not s enjoyable because we went as a performer of one of the Hotels and it was so tiring and stressful. This time, the second time around it's different, even though I went to attend a seminar with my schoolmates, we have a lot of lime left to enjoy the place.

I went to Boracay with a 5000 peso budget. We planned to eat at Andoks or Mang Inasal to save some money, but at the end of the day we decided to buy raw foods just near the hotel where we stay at D'Mall Palengke, palengke is a tagalog word for Supermarket. This is my first time in traveling counting my money.

What's happening at D'Mall Palengke, or what's it in there?, here are some photos.

In D'Mall Palengke located at station 2 of Boracay Island, you can buy

Raw Meat , raw meat are available. whether it is Chicken, Pork, Beef and other meat.

Fresh Vegetables, Vegetables are available.

Fresh Fruits, fresh fruits are available

After buying some ingredients, we went back to our room and start cooking. We cooked a soup named Potchero - stewed pork, thanks to the help of our teacher's elder sister for giving us a hand in cooking and also during our stay here in Bracay.

And here it is the stewed pork that made me very full the whole night.

Well this is my experience on Boracay, there is more things to say but I made a video of it so that you may know and feel how I feel.

Yang Chow is a Chinese friend rice or zao fan cooked with egg, carrots, green peace, ham, and more. Yang Chow Friend Rice is popular in all Chinese Restaurants here in Iloilo.

 Sweet and Sour Pork

The sweet and sour pork is very good, the sauce is well cooked that you can really taste the sweetness and the sourness of the pork. Sweet and Sour Pork can also be found in other Authentic Chinese Restaurants here in Iloilo.

A perfect Crispy Chicken combine with the good scent and flavor of Lemon sauce and will make your table full of romantic lemon scent. This is a good dish to try you will really enjoy.

Bihon with Singaporean style of cooking makes this a little bit of spiciness but very good to try on. Mixed with carrots, chicken, bihon noodles with Calamansi to make it a little bit sour in taste.

Mango Otap at Guimaras

Mango Otap by TRAPPIST

As we all know Guimaas Island is well known because of the product that they produce. A Mango, Guimaras' mango is one of  the sweetest mango I've ever ate. The scent of the fruit made me buy more and brought it home. Sometimes making Mango Float out of it.

After our fun and long day shoot at Magic Island Guimaras, before going back here in Iloilo. I bought one of Guimaras' Finest products made by Trappist. "Mango Otap".

The product is so delicious, crispy and flaky Otap with a sweet Mango Topping.

Trappist preserves and delicacies are made and packed by the monks of Our Lady of the Philippine Abbey, as part of long tradition of excellence and hospitality. For over 1500 years, monks following the Rule of St. Benedict have prayed and worked in common, and lived by the labor of their hands. Hospitality has always been a special work of monks, who for centuries have preserved food products with conscientious care in order to have a tasty treat to present to their guests. In the spirit of this tradition, the Trappist monks also offer a selection of Jams, Jellies, Marmalades, dried fruits, fruit juices, and a variety of bakery products.

Come and try this Mango Otap given to you by Trappist, and experience mango like you've never tasted before. Thank you so much ENJOY!.
