Manggahan Festival in Guimaras

It has been my dream to go even for a half day experiencing and knowing what Manggahan Festival in Guimaras is all about. Yes it's true, in my whole life this is actually the first time. My friends and relatives always invited me to join them going here few years back, but I always said no.
Going here is not planned at all, it was just a quick "Ok let's go" while I was having coffee with my fellow blogger of Iloilo Today at Bo's Cafe inside SM City Iloilo. He said that we are just gonna go there and buy some sweet yellow mangoes. Since I wanted to so the talking is done.

As a first timer in this kind of festival, I insist myself to really enjoy everything, every moment that was happening and learn how to buy the good mangoes.

Along the Entrance this wonderful welcome post welcomed us showing the many mango fruit stands and other Guimaras products inside.

Before entering the gate, I was so excited from outside going in you can smell the fresh scent of all the mangoes.

Indeed Guimaras Manggahan Festival is a great feast a half day trip that I will always remember. One of my favorite part is buying a mango shake and two kilos of ripe yellow mangoes which I am going to make my mom a mango float that day because it was her birthday.

Not until February 21, 2015 when my classmate wants me to join them go the house of our school librarian at Brgy. Ayaman Cabatuan Iloilo.

It was my first time going to Cabatuan and the first time I went out with my classmates. They told me they are going to pick fresh star apples directly from the three. Star Apple Tree bears much fruits during February and March. Out of curiosity on what star apples taste like, this time I am going to eat one for a change.

Amazing Boracay Island Philippines | My Boracay

| RECOMMEND FULL SCREEN with 320P Resolution |

Have you been to Boracay? Boracay is one of the famous tourist destination here in the Philippines for both Local and International, with its white sand beaches, wonderful and fine hotels and restaurants, night life and activities you'll do in Boracay such as para-sailing, banana boat ride, scuba diving, island hoping, cliff diving and more.

What is my first impression about Boracay?

Well, before I only think and browse information about Boracay Island on the internet knowing that there are a lot of celebrities going there and enjoy the beach. The white sands and cool blue color waters, concerts and many more. When I was a boy I always wanted to go to Boracay, but our family can't afford it. Well I have to do it on my own, now I am able. Therefor I want to share my story on my 1st and 2nd time around.

The first time I went to Boracay was not s enjoyable because we went as a performer of one of the Hotels and it was so tiring and stressful. This time, the second time around it's different, even though I went to attend a seminar with my schoolmates, we have a lot of lime left to enjoy the place.

I went to Boracay with a 5000 peso budget. We planned to eat at Andoks or Mang Inasal to save some money, but at the end of the day we decided to buy raw foods just near the hotel where we stay at D'Mall Palengke, palengke is a tagalog word for Supermarket. This is my first time in traveling counting my money.

What's happening at D'Mall Palengke, or what's it in there?, here are some photos.

In D'Mall Palengke located at station 2 of Boracay Island, you can buy

Raw Meat , raw meat are available. whether it is Chicken, Pork, Beef and other meat.

Fresh Vegetables, Vegetables are available.

Fresh Fruits, fresh fruits are available

After buying some ingredients, we went back to our room and start cooking. We cooked a soup named Potchero - stewed pork, thanks to the help of our teacher's elder sister for giving us a hand in cooking and also during our stay here in Bracay.

And here it is the stewed pork that made me very full the whole night.

Well this is my experience on Boracay, there is more things to say but I made a video of it so that you may know and feel how I feel.

Hi, my name is Reynan and I am the author of this blog. In this article I will share to you my life experiences in my journey through the Power of Nature, Leisures of Life and entering into the Peace of Mind through the Pilgrimage of Garin Farm Inland Resort. "but first let me take a selfie" -- here is our selfie picture before we start walking.

this was our selfie picture before we start our journey in the power of nature-Farm

April 28, 2014, It was my third time visiting this resort because I have noting to do at home. It was so hot because it's summer and it is best going to the beach; but I decided to go to Garin Farm. I invited my girlfriend with me and she invited her cousin. So we arrived at Garin Farm and start taking pictures also selfies of ourselves.

As we journey into the power of nature-in the Farm. We found many breed animals like different kinds of chicken, pigeons, birds and plants such as herbs and spices to name a few. As we continue our walk and we also knew a lot of information regarding how plants grow and its benefit. --- we came to a point where we saw the bahay kubo also called Nipa Hut-a bahay kubo or a nipa hut is a native filipino house, along with the bahay kubo are plants that can be heard on the famous filipino song Bahay Kubo--here are the following pants, Jicama, eggplant, winged beans, peanut, long beans, hyacinth beans, lima beans, ash ground, sponge ground, bottle ground, squash, radish, mustard, onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger and a lot of sesame plants. To show you what is a bahay kubo, here is a picture I took with my camera.

After walking and knowing all about animals and plants in the farm, next in Garin Farm is to enjoy with the pleasures of life-the leisure part. Now what will you find in that part will take you to the second part of the chapter in your stay in Garin Farm.

The Swimming Pool Area

The swimming pool area is located along the hillside of the resort, guests swimming in this pool will give you breathtaking experience and a wonderful view of the China Sea in the horizon. It has a kiddie and an adult pool so that both young and mature people can enjoy the swimming experience in Garin Farm. Cottages are design uniquely with cave-like structures to adapt the uniqueness of the resort.

The Lagoon

The lagoon is where you will have to most and best experiences in the resort. Located and man-made along the hilltop with a wide of 5,000 sq.m. The lagoon can give you a great ride of kayak and boating, with fishes you are able to o fishing and cook it for dinner, try a horseback ride on the islet. One thing I like most in Garin Farm, is that eveytime you will go back there is always something new to try. Like their new Water Ball where you're going to step inside a huge sphere of ball and have fun rolling and rolling inside it.

There ore more things Garin Farm can offer you than just a lagoon experience, they also have a 300meter Zip Line for you to better view the hilltop from the air, also will feel you like flying.

After enjoying your life with such pleasures at the leisure part. The next is the Pilgrimage part where you will go up and up the stairs with 456 steps. This Pilgrimage will complete your life in Garin Farm and will make you stay become the best stay and make your experience the best experience ever in your travel.

The Pilgrimage will offer you a journey from creation to ascension of Christ.  On completing with 456 steps towards the cross a beautiful panoramic view of nature can be seen from the above. The nature and all of God's creation-Even though It was a 456 step and it was very tiring "for me" at the end you will surely feel how glad you are to make into the top.
