Iloilo City Welcomes 2015 with a BANG of Fireworks Display

I woke up on December 31st of the year 2014, knowing that it's the last day of the year. I opened my Facebook account early in the morning to greet my friends, family, relatives and the persons I've met with specially to my girlfriend. I went to our rooftop and wonder upon the the thick creamy clouds like it's going to rain, people going to church nearby the house where I grew up, children playing enjoying the streets, blowing horns, playing firecrackers, people around is busy cooking preparing foods for new years eve. Grocery stores is like hell because of the very long line. I think about what was my 2014 all about, all the blessings, love, and the things I do. I went down to my room and once again open my computer.

After opening one of my friend send me a picture of a news paper with my photo of a fireworks display last 2014. I was surprised!, and so happy that on the last day of 2014 for the first time in my life I have my picture printed on a news paper.

On that same day Iloilo City is preparing a fireworks display to welcome 2015 with a 10 second countdown with the people of Iloilo at Mulle Loney along the Iloilo River. This was the 5th times the city is doing it to help people get rid of those firecrackers that could harm themselves. To cut the story short we were all having fun. I was there, my father, my brother, my mother, my cousins - we were all there. As I was preparing my camera I turn my head north south west east and saw many good looking foreigners joining us in welcoming the year 2015.

10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 -1 ----- Music Starts so then the BOOM starts. Iloilo City Welcomes the year 2015 with a BANG of Fireworks Display.

Megaworld and Iloilo City join forces to hold Iloilo Bike Festival in the next 10 years in Iloilo Business Park


Megaworld, a 72 hectare land in Iloilo known as the Iloilo Business Park [IBP] becomes an offical home  of Bike Festival until 2024. This is made possible after the signing of Megaworld and Iloilo government the Memorandum of Agreement [MOA] to formalized the partnership. 

The Memorandum of Agreement was signed by Senior Vice President Jericho P. Go and Iloilo City mayor Jed Patrcik E. Mabilog. This project primarily promotes health lifestyle, road-sharing as emerging bike lanes and public safety practices in Iloilo.

"The partnership solidifies the very purpose of this festival which is to gather the Ilonggo community and show is commitment to healthy and sustainable living. We fully support Iloilo's bid to become the bike capital of the Philippines as we also build our bike lanes in Iloilo Business Park." says Go.

Environment Friendly Township

Eco-friendly, sustainable township, is what Iloilo Business Park offers and wants future residents, BPO workers and Mall goers to see it rising.

"The very essence of township living is allowing convenient access to everyone to walk from one place to another or use bikes around the township, lessening carbon footprint," adds Go.

The Palladium, a 22-storey residential tower with green features of multi-level sky gardens. It is the first in Western Visayas. It is envisioned to be the region's tallest residential condominium once completed.

Head of marketing, Iloilo Business Park Jennifer Palamers-Fong said, "We are very excited about The Palladium because our residents will be able to experience sky garden living that allows them to commune with nature without going out of the building."

Iloilo Business Park [IBP] as a Business and Tourism Hub

The Old Iloilo Airport in Manduriao District is now the Iloilo Business Park's biggest business and tourism hub.

Megaworld has allotted P35 billion for the development of the township in the next 10 years, making it the company's biggest single investment outside Metro Manila. IBP will be home to luxury residential condominiums, state-of-the-art business process outsourcing [BPO] office towers, a Mega World Center Mall, a 1.1 kilometer Festive Walk Commercial and retail strip, open parks, transport hub, first class hotels and the Iloilo City Convention Center.

24/7 and Affordable Bakeshop in Iloilo Maiquis Bakeshop Iloilo

Maiquis bakeshop is located at Javellana Street at Jaro.

What is a bread? According to Google, bread is a food made of flour, water and yeast or another leavening agent, mixed together and baked. Do you love to eat bread? I love to eat break, specially when you wake up in the morning. Eating those baked hot bread from the oven combined with coffee or some hot chocolate when it's raining or not. 

I only eat bread when I'm not in the mood to eat some rice during breakfast. It's fast to eat and you can bring it everywhere. When you're in a hurry and you need to go for me bread is my final solution so that I can only eat some food on my way. 

Here in Iloilo City there are various of bakeshops. I haven't tried them all yet. One day when I encounter the name Maiquis Bakeshop, it is just newly opened for a few months now. It is open 24/7 for the consumers convenience. It opened 4 branches already, one in Jaro, Molo, Manduriao and Hibaoan; and another one which is still on going construction is in Jaro also along Jalandoni Estate just near Jollibee and Hypermarket. 

Well, I want to share some of their bread which I like so much. Again it's affordable, chew able surely the results is satisfying. 


 Cheese Cupcakes
 
One of my favorite is this Cheese Cupcakes. It is so cheesy inside you're mouth and feels like it so spongy. very delicious and satisfying.

Papaya 

I believe they call it papaya because of the shape of it similar to papaya. This bread is a delicious bread with a good aroma of the bread. When you eat it inside is very solid. Enjoy it when you chew explore the flavors.

Elorde 

Some called it Monay here in Iloilo. This bread is tasty from outside to the inside.

The last is the Graciosa Loaf, this bread is very sweet. It has cheese, butter. Trust me you'll fall in love with this bread. You'll surely find it everyday.
